Capsula.Studio, established jointly by the Fuel Choices Initiative at the Prime Minister’s Office and Tel Aviv University, aims to position Israel as a global innovation hub for Smart Mobility. A central part of its activities is Capsula.Studio, a Smart Mobility startup accelerator, which invites entrepreneurs worldwide to biannual residencies.
Selected entrepreneurs will take residence at Capsula.Studio’s Tel Aviv facility for three months of intensive Customer Validation. Residents will enjoy unique benefits including: training on Customer Validation; access to the global Smart Mobility value network; support from qualified Startup Nation mentors; exposure to financial and strategic investors; workspace at Tel Aviv’s iconic Porter Building; and an equity-free grant of up to NIS 100,000 (roughly equivalent to $25,000).
Dozens of startups have graduated from the program since its inception only a couple of years ago. They have gone on to do amazing things. Recent successes to come of Capsula.Studio include two cyber security startups, GuardKnox and Upstream Security, which have raised several millions dollars in seed funding, as well as WayCare, which provides predictive insights for smart cities and has launched a pilot in partnership with Las Vegas.
